Description:
This file offers a visual to support students in transitioning from preferred actvities to non-preferred activities. You fold it in half to stand up and share with the student one more minute as you set a timer for one more minute. Then when the timer goes off you ask the student if they are ready or not ready to transition by flipping up the folded paper (where they see icons for ready and not ready). If the student says not ready you reset the timer and remove the not ready icon when the timer goes off again the student needs to be ready and you support them in transitioning.
